Achievement Awards


Every year, the Madera County School Boards Association grants Achievement
Awards to qualified eighth and twelfth grade students in all Madera County
Public Schools.

We are looking for a good All-Around Student, one that exemplifies those
qualities that the Madera County School Boards Association is committed to
supporting within Madera County.

The following are criteria, in order of priority, by which students are to be
nominated by school site staff:

2.75 Grade point average (based on 4.0 system)

Good Citizenship – Good Attendance

 

3.

Involved in school activities (e.g., student government, clubs, etc.)

 

4.

Community activities/service (e.g., church involvement, boy/girl scouts, F.F.A. 4H, etc.)

 

5.

Athletics – Good sportsmanship 

 

NOTE:  Each school site can nominate one male and one female to receive
the Madera County School Boards Association achievement award.  Please do
not forward other than one male and one female.

 

Recognition will be in the form of a certificate to be presented at the end of
the year award or graduation ceremony according to each school’s preference.
Whenever possible, awards will be presented by members of the Madera
County School Boards Association (school boards trustee).
